Dover and the Starlink

3am or so at Folkestone's Warren and I was just about to give up on a pretty poor show of The Milky Way core, due to persistent cloud. I pointed my camera the opposite way, towards Dover, as some weird light was bouncing off the clouds, emitted from the transmitting station (red glow) and the harbour. Low and behold Elon Musk's Starlink comes whizzing over; another 60 satellites to add to his tally. They were so bright, far brighter than I had seen any of them before and truly unearthly. Unlike the normal solid white line they appeared much clearer and in the long exposure look almost like a condensation trail of a jet plane.

I believe this is now 1600 odd Starlink satellites and fast on the way to 42,000
