Now this is a picture that I have been after for many years. There is a small window of opportunity every year and for one reason or another I have missed out. I either I arrive late, clouds appear from nowhere, or I am temped somewhere else. Last year, when it was perfect, I was lured off by the amazing kitesurfers and this year I was tempted by a moonrise at Folkestone (which paid off, I'm delighted to say). I was determined this year and popped down to Minnis Bay on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday to no avail, although it's always nice to visit (Wednesday was perfect by the way when I went to Folkestone...dohh!). Saturday was probably going to be my last attempt , as the tides were getting later, which meant it would be impossible to get in the right position. Even Saturday I would need my trusty leaky waders. As luck would have it, just enough cloud dispersed to reveal the sun...bingo!
